<p>On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, more than 200 female students of a private college in Vellore donated their hair to create awareness.</p> <p>On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an awareness program was held at Taniyar Makalir College in Katpadi Gandhi Nagar on Thursday. Various awareness programs were held in this event jointly organized by the National Welfare Program of the college, Christian Medical College (CMC) and Vellore Donation Movement.</p> <p>Accordingly, more than 500 female students stood in the college campus in the form of pink ribbons, a symbol of breast cancer awareness. Following this, around 200 female students donated their hair to make artificial hair for cancer sufferers.</p> <p>College Principal Mary Joseph Rani, Principal Arogya Jayasili, Vice Principal Amala Valarmathi, National Welfare Project Officers Amuda, Gayatri, Ashwini Thanapakhyam Anuradha, Colin, National Welfare Project volunteers participated in the program.</p> <p> </p>
